Victory over Indonesian Taufik Hidayat successfully climbed the world's number two, shifting the position of victory over Denmark's Peter Hoeg Gade fell to third position.

In the ranking list released by Badminton World Federation (BWF), ranked much better than Taufik nemesis, Lin Dan. Home victory over China was just sitting in the top six, up one position from the previous ranking.

Improved rankings also experienced Indonesian men's doubles Markis Kido / Hendra Setiawan. Both moved up one rank to the rank of the three worlds, double stick Kien Keat Koo Malaysia / Tan Boon Heong who sits in second position.
